Felt is a textile that is produced by matting, condensing, and pressing fibers together. Felt can be made of natural fibers such as wool or animal fur. Our felt products are hand made. We supply felts to different villages of Nepal where the villagers make the products. As the products are hand made, there might be some differences between them.

Cat Caves are made one at a time, using just big tufts of wool. The wool is laid down in many layers, in different directions, and color by color. After each layer, we thoroughly wet the wool and then press out the water. After several layers, the felting begins, and at the end, we dry them naturally, outdoors. As you can tell, our product has a low carbon footprint because, not only are we using a natural fiber instead of a man-made one, our process uses no electricity, and our dyes are natural.
